Overview Data Center Project Manager, US-West CPI — Amazon Web Services (AWS)
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure continuous customer access. You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles, collaborating across AWS to deliver safety, security, and scalable capacity at the lowest possible cost.
The Critical Projects Implementation (CPI) team is a project management and execution group that manages construction activity within operational data center spaces. CPI handles critical infrastructure improvement projects to optimize space, power, and cooling within data centers globally, outside the scope of standard construction delivery and regular preventive maintenance.
We are seeking a Data Center Project Manager to serve as a technical resource within Amazon data centers. You will be part of a creative, efficient team tackling challenges in designing, building, and operating Amazon data facilities. The Project Manager is responsible for project oversight across electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural disciplines, identifying improvement opportunities and acting on data provided by other teams. The role requires both independent contribution and collaboration within multi-disciplinary teams. Projects may include improvements to electrical, mechanical, fire detection, and building automation systems. The Project Manager ensures direction, coordination, execution, control, and completion of projects in alignment with company strategy and goals.

Basic Qualifications 5+ years experience managing projects in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure in an operational space (examples: 24/7 emergency backup systems, manufacturing facilities, mass transit, Oil and Gas, utilities, hospitals, or similar industries) 5+ years in Construction or Project Management 5+ years in on-site construction trades (mechanical, electrical, general) Preferred Qualifications BA/BS in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or similar technical focus 5+ years experience in power distribution and data center mechanical cooling systems Ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs, incorporate feedback, and evaluate ideas with stakeholders Experience delivering results in fast-paced, dynamic environments Detail-oriented with self-motivation and strong follow-through Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
