Senior Accountant

Cordia Resources nonprofit client is seeking a Senior Accountant. This role will support critical accounting functions, including account reconciliations, journal entries, fixed assets, and accounts payable. The ideal candidate will bring a solid foundation in nonprofit accounting practices and a strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data
• Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP
• Maintain and track fixed asset schedules, including depreciation
• Support accounts payable processing and vendor management
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Collaborate with internal departments and external partners as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (required)
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a nonprofit environment
• Strong understanding of GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards
• Experience with accounts payable and fixed asset accounting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• QuickBooks experience is a plus
• Strong organizational and communication skills
