As a senior technologist, you’ll have end-to-end ownership of the product, user experience, design, and technology required to deliver state-of-the-art experiences for our internal customers. You will drive the delivery of accessible data and democratize data access through user-friendly self-service tools to redefine how we approach insights and decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Develop new data models using engineering patterns that leverage cloud architectures and GenAI, and extend or migrate existing data pipelines.
- Enable the team to build GenAI-based applications that improve the efficiency of BI teams and Product Managers.
- Collaborate with scientists to create fast and efficient algorithms for optimization, statistical analysis, prediction, clustering, and machine learning on rich data sets.
- Improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service modeling and production support for customers.
- Ensure data stores are secure and compliant, collaborating with Privacy and Compliance teams.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of data engineering experience
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with SQL
- Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
- Experience mentoring team members on best practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR
- Experience operating large data warehouses

Compensation
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $139,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $240,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
