AWS is looking for a highly motivated Solutions Architect to help accelerate our growing State and Local Government business as part of the World Wide Public Sector practice. As a Solutions Architect, you will help shape and deliver on a strategy to build broad use of AWS computing, machine learning, and AI services (e.g., AWS EC2, AWS S3, AWS RDS, and Amazon Bedrock) directly with customers and our ecosystem of system integrators and solution providers. Your responsibilities include owning the technical engagement and the ultimate success around specific implementation projects, defining implementation architectures, responding to RFPs, developing deep expertise in AWS technologies, and acting as a subject matter expert on security related to customer applications and services.

You will provide exceptional technical design and thought leadership, lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solution architect community, and collaborate with and educate peers across the enterprise architecture landscape.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical engagement and successful delivery of specific implementation projects.
• Define implementation architectures and respond to RFPs.
• Develop deep expertise in AWS technologies and broad know-how of how applications and services are constructed on the AWS platform.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services.
• Lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge within the AWS solution architect community.
• Collaborate with sales and business development teams, and work with ecosystem partners.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• Experience with one of the following programming languages: Python, Ruby, Node.js, C#, or C++
• Experience with two or more of the following areas: networking fundamentals, security, storage or databases (relational or NoSQL), operating systems (Unix, Linux, or Windows)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing a cloud-based technology solution
• Experience in Cloud Architecture, Systems Design, Software Development, Infrastructure Architecture, Data Engineering or DevOps

Compensation: The base pay range for this position in various markets is $88,400/year to $192,600/year, and may include equity, sign-on payments, and other benefits as part of a total compensation package.
