TLC Nursing Associates, Inc.

TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to perform blood collection and specimen preparation for diagnostic testing. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to patient comfort, and adherence to safety and quality standards in a laboratory or clinical setting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture, finger sticks, and other specimen collection techniques safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure proper labeling, handling, and transportation of specimens to maintain specimen integrity.
  • Verify patient identification and maintain accurate documentation of specimens collected.
  • Prepare specimens for laboratory analysis in accordance with established protocols.
  • Provide clear instructions to patients regarding specimen collection procedures when necessary.
  • Maintain phlebotomy equipment and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
  • Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance standards at all times.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain patient confidentiality.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a formal phlebotomy training program preferred.
  • National certification (ASCP, NHA, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Previous phlebotomy experience in a clinical, hospital, or laboratory setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of venipuncture techniques, specimen handling, and safety protocols.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients of all ages.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
