Phlebotomist – We Train

Phlebotomist
Our ideal phlebotomist is patient, reliable, and committed to keeping our donors comfortable and happy.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in determining the suitability of donors.
- Establish rapport with donors to ensure overall customer happiness while maintaining donor confidentiality.
- Respond to and assist with handling donor reactions.
- Monitor donors and equipment to ensure donor health and product quality.
- Set up, disconnect, and operate automated plasmapheresis machines.
- Disconnect and dispose of contaminated disposable equipment.
Occupational Demands
Work is performed in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids and potential infectious organisms. Exposure to electrical equipment, extreme cold below 32°F in plasma freezers, and the use of personal protective equipment such as eyewear, garments, gloves, and cold gear are required. The role involves sitting or standing for entire shifts, bending, twisting, and frequent hand movements. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring coordination and precise movements is necessary. Hearing acuity, color perception, near and far vision (corrected to 20/30 and 20/100 respectively), and the ability to follow instructions are essential.
