Overview
Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist II to support our client’s medical facility, based in Rome, GA, 30165. This is a contract position with a possible extension opportunity.
Location: Rome, GA, 30165
Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm; Friday 8:30 am – 12:30 pm (40 hrs/week)
Base pay range: $19.30/hr - $21.55/hr
Note: The actual pay will be based on skills and experience; discuss with your recruiter to learn more. The rate is based on years of DIRECT EXPERIENCE as listed in the resume.
Job Responsibilities
- Collect blood samples safely and correctly from patients.
- Ensure patient information is correct and label samples properly.
- Maintain a clean workspace and follow safety rules.
- Treat patients with care and respect while building trust.
- Fill out paperwork and keep records up to date.
Education
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Medical training (such as medical assistant or paramedic programs) is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary draws.
- At least two (2) years of experience in a Patient Service Center or clinical setting is preferred.
- Customer service experience in a retail or healthcare environment is an asset.
- Proficiency with data entry and keyboarding is also preferred.
