Job Description:

Technical College of the Rockies (TCR) is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Part-Time Phlebotomy Instructor to join our healthcare training team. The ideal candidate is passionate about sharing their expertise, committed to student success, and experienced in both phlebotomy practice and instruction. This position is responsible for delivering high-quality, hands-on instruction in phlebotomy procedures, safety protocols, and clinical skills to prepare students for certification and entry into the healthcare workforce.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Deliver engaging and effective instruction aligned with course competencies and learning objectives.
2. Provide both classroom and laboratory instruction, including venipuncture and capillary collection techniques.
3. Maintain a safe and professional learning environment that fosters student success.
4. Evaluate student performance through practical and written assessments.
5. Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
6. Ensure compliance with programmatic and institutional policies.
7. Participate in curriculum review and instructional planning as needed.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 3 years of clinical phlebotomy experience.
2. Current national phlebotomy certification (e.g., ASCP, NHA, NCCT, AMT).
3. Previous teaching or training experience preferred.
4. Strong communication and organizational skills.
5. Commitment to student-centered learning and instructional excellence.

Other Duties:

1. Comply with District policies and school policies.
2. Comply with all accreditation requirements.
3. Attend required staff meetings and take notes in department/OAC meetings.
4. Promote the College.
5. Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
6. Other duties as assigned.
