Job Title: Patient Services Representative I

The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients, either as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions. The PSR I is responsible for drawing quality blood samples from patients and preparing those specimens for lab testing, following established practices and procedures.

The PSR I interacts directly with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner. This role demonstrates leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy in handling patient information.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the supervision of the area supervisor.
  2. Maintain a safe and professional environment.
  3. Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties confidently, adhering to established procedures.
  4. Maintain required records and documentation.
  5. Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 6 months experience required; 1+ years preferred.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience is required.
