Job Title: Patient Services Representative I (PSR I)
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients, whether they are visiting for routine health checks or important health decisions. The PSR I is responsible for drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing, adhering to established practices and procedures. This role involves direct patient contact, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence by explaining procedures clearly and performing blood draws skillfully, safely, and accurately. The PSR I demonstrates leadership behaviors with a focus on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the supervision of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established procedures with confidence.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 6 months of experience required; 1+ years preferred.
- Customer service experience in retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience is required.
