Overview
PSR Greeter- Entry Level Phlebotomist (Customer Service)
Location: Oakland Park, FL 33414
Shift: 6am – 3pm
This is a patient-facing front desk greeter role performing customer service. But candidate will be trained on performing phlebotomy and must be willing to learn. Prior phlebotomy experience is not required!
Summary
- The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
- The ENTRY PSR I helps with patient care by greeting them upon arrival and answering any questions or concerns with care and compassion. The individual will also help maintain the integrity of the waiting area and assist with breaks when other Phlebotomists are unavailable.
- This individual will also be trained on Phlebotomy skills to grow within the company.
- The ENTRY PSR I has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining what to expect to patients regarding the scheduled procedure for the patients in a safe and accurate manner.
- The ENTRY PSR I will demonstrate excellence in customer care while focusing on process skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
- The impact of this individual will be crucial to maintaining the integrity of the lobby and ensuring that all patients are provided with the level of service that is expected.
- Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Maintains required records and documentation.
- Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general along with a willingness to learn new skills.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients upon arrival and assist with check-ins in the lobby via self-service kiosk or handheld tablet.
- Provide compassionate customer service and answer questions or concerns.
- Help maintain the waiting area, support breaks when other Phlebotomists are unavailable, and ensure lobby integrity.
- Under supervision, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment and uphold confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
Job Requirements
- Ability to handle patients with care and compassion while assisting with check-ins in the lobby through either a self-service kiosk or handheld tablet.
- Willingness to learn Phlebotomy skills when there is downtime or breaks that need to be covered.
- Once Phlebotomy skills are obtained, perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures with confidence.
- High level of customer service experience/skills are required.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Work Experience
- Minimum of 1-2 years of client-facing customer service required (Retail, Home Health Aide, etc.).
- Prior Phlebotomy experience is NOT required.
- Keyboard/data entry experience a must.
- This is an entry position into Phlebotomy, so candidates must be willing to learn this skill. If they are only wanting to work in a front desk or greeter position and not willing to learn Phlebotomy, please do not apply.
Additional Details
- Candidate must have reliable transportation to get to/from worksite without issue. Must be available to work whenever scheduled, be on time, and stay for the entire shift. Excessive absenteeism/tardiness is not tolerated.
- Please verify commute time to/from the work location. Candidates need to be within a 20-25 minute commute window to ensure travel to/from the site for coverage.
- This is a Front of House role that will also train the candidate on Phlebotomy skills. If your candidate is not willing to learn/perform Phlebotomy, do not submit them.
