Overview
Software Tester position to support our Client in Chantilly, VA. Job Category: Information Technology. Time Type: Full time. Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI with Polygraph. Employee Type: Regular. Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10%. Type of Travel: Local.
Responsibilities
With a wide range of knowledge, the Software Tester defines and develops test standards for testing IT products, equipment, or systems in accordance with company and contractual requirements. The Tester reviews and evaluates complex test specifications, test results, and test trends and implements corrective action as needed. The Tester determines the optimal approach to testing complex products to assure compliance with applicable specifications, identifies and recommends product or solution characteristics that optimize their testability, and provides test data for diagnostics. The Tester combines customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that consider technical, schedule, and cost constraints. The Tester develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for completing systems, coordinates integrated testing activities, reviews and evaluates test requirements to ensure completeness of the test program, performs technical analysis of complete systems, and prepares comprehensive system-level evaluations.
This position will encompass several functions:

- Stay abreast of emerging and changing software technologies and design practices to provide leading-edge, cost-effective solutions

- Provide feedback to testers to set quality standards and help improve their work
- Develop test automation strategy for projects in AGILE methodology
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and 5 – 7 years of related experience
- Active and current TS/SCI with polygraph
- CompTIA Security+ certification
- Experience in an Agile environment
- Scrum
- Automated testing
- Security testing
- MS TFS
- Zap (security testing)
- Good organizational skills

Desired:
- ISTQB Certified Tester or equivalent
- Familiarity with load testing

Pay Range: The final salary is influenced by factors including location, job category, experience, skills, education, and certifications.
