Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Commercial HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HVAC systems in commercial settings. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation: Install, replace, and upgrade HVAC systems in commercial buildings, including heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections on HVAC systems, including checking refrigerant levels, changing filters, and cleaning air ducts.
  • Repairs: Diagnose and repair HVAC system malfunctions, ensuring the timely and effective resolution of issues. This includes troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant problems.
  • System Evaluation: Conduct system diagnostics and evaluations to assess the performance of HVAC systems. Provide recommendations for improvements, repairs, or replacements when necessary.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by explaining HVAC system operations and maintenance needs to clients, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of services performed, repairs made, parts used, and other relevant information in compliance with company standards.
  • Compliance: Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety standards and environmental requirements.
  • Emergency Response: Provide on-call emergency services as needed for HVAC system breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime for customers.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other technicians, engineers, and contractors to complete projects efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an HVAC technician, with a focus on commercial systems.
  • Certification in HVAC (e.g., EPA Section 608, NATE, or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical and mechanical components, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus.
