Maintenance Supervisor

What does a Maintenance Supervisor do at Swire Coca-Cola?

Directs, manages and holds accountable all maintenance employees. Directs and implements all maintenance programs for building and machinery in an orderly, efficient and professional manner. Keeps accurate records of department activities and budgets. Ensures safe and functional operation of machinery. Directs all major equipment rebuilds and overhauls, and interacts with government regulatory agencies, or performs other responsibilities as assigned.

Shift: 5:00am - 2:00pm (Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday)

Responsibilities

  • Assumes responsibility for the effective and efficient performance of all maintenance-related functions. Supervises routine and preventive maintenance on all production and building equipment. Implements and schedules a preventive maintenance system. Resolves issues promptly and effectively.
  • Plans and coordinates equipment rebuilds and overhauls. Budgets, recommends and controls expense budgets. Capital expenditures recommendations.
  • Supervises maintenance department staff, ensuring optimal performance. Interviews, hires, directs, and terminates maintenance personnel.
  • Ensures maintenance staff is appropriately trained. Conducts performance appraisals as required. Provides regular feedback to maintenance personnel regarding performance of duties and maintains personnel files.
  • Provides leadership and motivation to staff through delegation, goal setting and communication. Holds employees accountable. Formulates and implements corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and supports the Swire Mission Statement and Core values.
  • Administers and coordinates department functions. Maintains accurate departmental, equipment, and budget records. Monitors budget. Maintains an adequate spare parts stock. Monitors usage of supplies and parts. Keeps management informed of area activities and significant issues.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with department employees, other production center managers, and line supervisors to resolve outstanding issues or corrective actions.
  • Ensures safe and clean maintenance operations and adherence to OSHA regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in manufacturing engineering or related field preferred; High School Degree with equivalent experience acceptable
  • 6+ years manufacturing experience required (beverage/food preferred)
  • 4+ years supervising manufacturing staff required
  • Understanding of ISO Management Systems for Quality, Safety, and Environmental
  • Knowledge of Food Safety, HACCP, and GMP requirements
  • Understanding of Coca-Cola KORE requirements
  • Strong understanding of plant production systems and equipment, including electrical, plumbing, water handling, mechanical, automation, and related areas
  • Strong knowledge of industry maintenance standards for manufacturing of food-grade products

Base pay range is $81,241 to $106,629 plus bonus structure (dependent on role). Pay offered will depend on geographic location, prior relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
