JOB SUMMARY:

Seasonal Landscaper to assist with basic botanical garden maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, mowing, mulching, weeding, installing plants and keeping hardscaping repaired and clean. Must be able to operate maintenance equipment such as lawnmowers, leaf blowers and trimmers. Completes other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

70% - Essential - Mowing, trimming and weeding all areas of the South Carolina Botanical Garden.

20% - Essential - Maintaining hardscape areas.

10% - Essential - Special SCBG projects.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education - High School or Equivalent - Custodial or groundskeeping experience directly related to the area of employment.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Education - 1st Associate's Degree

No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.

No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

Anticipated Hourly Rate: $16.00

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines .

ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL

Normal Operations

Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
