Job Summary
Under general supervision they will be responsible for the preparation of child support cases for Family court; performance of activities in the courtroom under the supervision of DSS attorneys; the follow-up on these cases, including parent locate and processing of interstate cases; and is responsible for providing general child support services to clients as required or needed.
Job Duties
- 30% – Essential – Communications & Correspondence: Communicate with other units within the Office of Integrated Child Support Services and other components within the Department of Social Services; add support order data to IVD system, as well as financial information to ensure distribution of collections.
- 25% – Essential – Maintains & Evaluates: Maintain case records, case narratives (written and electronic) in the agency designated system; manage assigned caseload; identify and recommend solutions to problems in the child support system (e.g., service of process, scheduling).
- 25% – Essential – Services & Support: Refer appropriate non-custodial parents to the SNAP Employment and Training program; interpret child support services programs to clients, the general public, and the community; provide services in accordance with agency policy and procedure.
- 20% – Essential – Prepares Cases & Interviews: Conduct interviews with custodial parents for paternity, interstate support, and other cases as necessary; ensure proper handling of personal identifying information (PII) and safeguard agency networks and data; perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
Minimum Requirements
Education: High School or equivalent with related program experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for program experience.
Work Experience: 1+ years

Supervisory Responsibilities
No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.

Compensation Information
Expected Salary Range: $33,339.00 – $36,000
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
Essential Personnel Level
Normal Operations. Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected to work on-site during emergency situations.
