Overview
Job Title: Seasonal Kettle Coordinator
FLSA Status: Seasonal, Full Time - non-exempt
Reports to: Corps Officer/Operations Manager
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40hrs/week
Supervises: Kettle Drivers & Bell Ringers
Rate of Pay: $22/hour
Closing Date: 9/26/2025
Benefits: Seasonal; Full-Time, Non-Exempt employees are eligible for but not limited to the following:
- Sick leave benefit – 1 day per month, 12 sick days per year (accrual and availability begins at hire; sick time accrual is pro-rated for part-time hours.
Function
Responsibilities
- Create, monitor, and adjust a weekly Bell Ringers shift schedule and a separate schedule for Kettle Drivers' work shifts. Ensure that no one works overtime unless authorized by the Corps Officer.
- Communicate all work schedules to seasonal employees by printing copies and via a dedicated Facebook page. Communicate real-time changes to Drivers using the dedicated mobile phones assigned to each route.
- Meet daily with Kettle Drivers to address route schedules, vehicle assignments, and equipment needs.
- Monitor the Kettle Office phone and clear messages daily to maintain up-to-date communication with seasonal employees.
- Coordinate other staff and volunteers to cover the Kettle Office phone while attending to other duties.
- Meet with the Corps Officer regularly to discuss campaign progress and any concerns.
- Input employee hours worked into Register-2-Ring daily and ensure that all paid time reports are submitted to payroll according to stated payroll due dates/times.
- Communicate regularly with the Volunteer Coordinator to confirm volunteer assignments and adjust the Master Kettle Worker Schedule as needed.
- Direct Kettle Drivers to maintain vehicle cleanliness and readiness and maintain all equipment.
- Complete an Inventory and Condition Report of all Red Kettle Campaign equipment and resources at the end of the season, and ensure proper storage.

Qualifications
- Education/Experience
- Minimum High School Diploma
- Skills
- Ability to work with a diverse population in a professional manner building relationships
- Experience in working with management
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
- Ability to access and produce information from a computer
- Ability to motivate and encourage staff and volunteers
- Driving
- A minimum age of 21 (for insurance provision) and possession of a valid in-state driver’s license is required.
- An MVR will be processed every year in accordance with The Salvation Army’s policies.
- Background Check
- Continued employment will be contingent upon a biennial (every two years) background check that is processed in accordance with The Salvation Army’s policies.
