Seasonal Forklift Operators

Join our dynamic team at Lakeside Foods as a Forklift Operator in a zero-degree warehouse. You will be responsible for loading and unloading frozen products, maintaining a clean and organized dock area, and ensuring all shipping and receiving paperwork is accurately completed. If you have a safety focus and a willingness to learn, we want to hear from you.

Principle Duties And Responsibilities

• Forklift checklist
• Review pack sheet to understand which product is being run daily
• Load reefers with frozen product accurately and efficiently
• Accurately complete all shipping and receiving paperwork
• Fill out Bills of Lading (BOLs) for each load as required
• Load/Unload interplant trucks
• Keep palletizers supplied with pallets, hoods, and slip sheets
• Move items from palletizers to correct locations as tagged/completed
• Keep depalletizers supplied with cans
• Remove dunnage from depalletizers and place in designated area
• Perform other warehouse duties as necessary (palletizer, ticket writer)
• Maintain dock area in a clean and organized condition
• Follow GMPs and safety procedures; adhere to Lakeside Foods policies
• Notify supervisor immediately of any unsafe or hazardous conditions
• May perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Forklift experience is a plus; training available
• Learn and follow approved safety practices and procedures
• Follow Lakeside Foods’ safety, health, and security policies
• Basic knowledge of all warehouse functions, including clerical and shipping
• Ability to place product in straight rows and stack product correctly

Pay: $14.17 to $17.48 per hour
