Overview

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and shipment of capital goods, spare parts, and miscellaneous orders. This role provides leadership to the warehouse team, drives process improvements, and ensures compliance with safety and quality standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead, train, and mentor warehouse staff to achieve operational goals and maintain a high-performance team environment.

Oversee and coordinate the processing of manufacturing orders and inventory transfers to meet or exceed monthly shipment targets.

Ensure accurate picking, tagging, and verification of parts in accordance with job packages and order requirements.

Supervise the receipt of incoming goods and materials, including verification, system transactions, marking, repackaging, and coordination with other departments for inspection or issue resolution.

Manage shipping transactions in the Syteline system, ensuring timely and accurate generation and distribution of shipping documentation.

Oversee packing of orders to meet EIC requirements, including labeling, documentation, and weight verification.

Coordinate with carriers to arrange freight pickups, ensuring adherence to EIC and customer shipping schedules.

Ensure proper loading of freight and maintenance of packaging material inventory.

Organize and oversee delivery of supplies and packages to office personnel and vendor locations as needed.

Lead and participate in cycle counts, inventory tracking, and problem resolution to maintain accurate inventory levels.

Ensure materials are stored in proper inventory locations and that the warehouse and care area meet EIC housekeeping and safety standards.

Enforce compliance with all company health and safety procedures.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency and accuracy.

Serve as the primary point of contact for warehouse-related issues and escalate as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Ability to use small hand tools and operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and panel trucks.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma and 5-10 years’ warehouse or logistics experience, including at least 5 years in a lead or supervisory role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Valid driver’s license
APICS certification preferred

Physical Demands

Frequently climb ladders and carry 50-75 pounds of equipment
