Overview

The Warehouse Coordinator supports inbound, outbound, and general warehouse operations to ensure timely freight delivery and proper distribution of warehouse items. Responsibilities include data entry, report preparation, and record maintenance.

Schedule

  • 1st Shift: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, 5 days per week
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 pm start, 4 days x 10 hours

Responsibilities

  • General warehouse: Prepare and process routine forms, reports, and documents (inbound and outbound documents, discrepancy reports, stock and damage claims, time sheets, requisitions, shipping labels, etc.) following standard procedures.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers to support staff and customer needs; respond to inquiries and telephone calls; research information to fulfill requests.
  • Collect, track, and input data on operations metrics to support tracking warehouse performance (shorts, mispicks, dump/damage, service level, associate overtime).
  • Inbound: Schedule receiving appointments with vendors for inbound freight based on warehouse capacity; maintain Delivery Appointment sheet daily; perform inbound driver check-in and check-out; assign receiving doors; prepare and confirm purchase orders.
  • Outbound: Support night warehouse functions by checking returns and credit slips, assembling returned orders, investigating picking errors, and resolving shipping issues; complete outbound paperwork and reports and update the master storage report.
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager.

Work Environment

The work will take place in a US Foods office-based environment but may occasionally require work in normal warehouse environments, including cooler and freezer areas where temperatures may be as low as -5 degrees.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Related Experience/Requirements: Minimum of two years of experience in warehouse and delivery procedures required.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Effective verbal and written communication; excellent telephone and customer service abilities; strong math, analytical, and organizational skills with high attention to detail; basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook); problem solving and critical thinking; strong teamwork.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED/equivalent required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications/Training: SAE, Truck Builder, Red Prairie, Kronos, Incentive/Component Pay, Road Net, XATA, Shopfax, Tandem, PowerDock equipment inventories, and warranties.

Compensation

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $17 - $25 per hour.
