Overview

We are seeking a Night Warehouse Coordinator to support inbound, outbound, and general warehouse operations to ensure timely delivery and scheduling of freight and proper distribution of warehouse items. Responsibilities include data entry, preparation and distribution of reports, and record maintenance. This role is with US Foods.

Schedule: Sunday – Friday. Pay: $21 / HR.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties may include but are not limited to general warehouse, inbound and/or outbound functions. Duties may vary depending on shift.

  • General warehouse: prepare and process routine forms, reports, and documents (inbound/outbound documents, discrepancy reports, stock and damage claims, time sheets, requisitions, shipping labels, etc.) following standard procedures; communicate with internal and external customers to support staff and customer needs; respond to inquiries; collect, track, and input data on relevant operations metrics (shorts, mispicks, dump/damage, service level, overtime).
  • Inbound: schedule receiving appointments with vendors according to warehouse capacities; prepare and update Delivery Appointment sheet; complete inbound freight processes (driver check-in/check-out); ensure readiness for receiving by assigning receiving doors; prepare and confirm purchase orders.
  • Outbound: support night warehouse functions by checking returns and credit slips; assemble returned orders; investigate picking errors and missing products; interact with warehouse personnel to resolve picking/shipping issues; complete outbound paperwork and reports (documents for selecting crew, route loading, drivers, and trucks received at night); update the master storage report.

  • Internal: Operations manager, purchasing department
  • External: Carriers, vendors

Work Environment

  • Office-based environment with occasional work in normal warehouse environments including cooler and freezer areas where temperatures may be as low as -5 degrees.

Minimum Qualifications

Related Experience/Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in warehouse & delivery procedures required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Effective communication, verbal and written; excellent telephone and customer service abilities; strong math, analytical, and organizational skills with high attention to detail; basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook); problem solving and critical thinking; strong teamwork skills.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED/equivalent required.

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications/Training:

  • Experience with SAE, Truck Builder, Red Prairie, Kronos, Incentive/Component Pay, Road Net, XATA, Shopfax, Tandem, PowerDock equipment inventories and warranties preferred.

Physical Qualifications

Must be able to perform the following physical activities; details below reflect typical expectations for this role.

  • Occasionally to Frequently required tasks: stand, walk, sit; lift 1-50 lbs as needed; push/pull, climb/balance, stoop/squat, kneel, bend; reach above shoulder; twist; grasp and manipulate objects; manual dexterity for typing and office tasks.

Compensation depends on experience and location. The expected base rate for this role is between $17 - $25 per hour.
