Scope

The Warehouse Supervisor position at OPW – PES’s Engineered Controls (RegO Products) Business Unit is a high-visibility role with primary responsibility to supervise receiving and shipping areas. They collaborate with Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Production to strategy storage and supply. The Warehouse Supervisor oversees warehouse operations to ensure all inventory is processed accurately and timely according to schedule. Duties include preparing schedules for Warehouse Associates, training new employees on machinery, and monitoring safety standards. Directs all daily aspects of the Warehouse Department and implements action plans to meet objectives and drive change to improve flow.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Supervises the Warehouse team in execution and delivery of services through training, coaching and mentoring; back-fills operators as needed and trains them on warehouse equipment
  • Trains and develops the Warehouse team to improve flexibility, knowledge, and skill
  • Coordinates inbound inventory for storage and production
  • Coordinates the shipping team with freight forwarders and logistics to optimize transportation
  • Develops plans for efficient use of time, materials, machines, and personnel
  • Reviews and maintains inventory control programs to ensure accuracy
  • Monitors equipment, procedures, and practices to ensure safety and proper work conditions
  • Plans and schedules departmental activities including cycle counting, inventory management, transactions, auditing, and reporting
  • Conducts regular inventory analysis to resolve inventory problems
  • Improves Warehouse organization, visual management and 6S metrics
  • Identifies and develops operational measures to maximize inventory processes and minimize costs
  • Controls costs through personnel productivity, space utilization, and protection of stored materials
  • Coordinates with internal departments to ensure accuracy and selection of inventory
  • Maintains a safe and well-organized work environment
  • Communicates with other departments to ensure timely shipping
  • Implements and manages cycle count processes for inventory accuracy
  • Analyzes procedures and implements improvements to productivity and efficiency
  • Leads improvement activities in supply, storage, packaging, and flow to improve warehouse metrics
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor\'s degree in business, engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse, distribution center or supply chain management
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong leadership and ability to manage staff
  • Basic understanding of lean manufacturing
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and data-driven decision making
  • Experience executing continuous improvement and best-practice activities in the supply chain
  • High emotional intelligence with strong verbal and written communication; able to work in a high-performance team
  • Extremely organized with strong follow-up
  • Minimum five years ERP systems experience; Infor/Mapics experience preferred
  • Experience in warehousing inventory including replenishment, picking, and expediting
  • MRP and supply chain knowledge
  • Understanding of logistics/transportation including freight optimization and Incoterms
