Wilson Excavation is looking to fill a full-time operator position. Location: Tulsa and the surrounding areas.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee, schedule and arrange crew work on a daily basis, cooperating with other team members as necessary.
- Maneuvering motorized heavy equipment primarily Leads to ensure the accurate removal and placement of materials (Dirt, Rock, etc).
- Loading and offloading rocks, debris, and other materials from heavy equipment.
- Observing stipulated safety codes at all times.
- Communicating with coworkers and clients to elucidate project specifications, as needed.
- Reporting injuries and other accidents to the manager.
- Advising the manager of requisite upgrades, repairs, and replacements.
- Aiding coworkers to ensure that the site is clean and organized at the end of each shift.
- Review all project activities, work equipment and sites every day to make sure everything is performed to company standards as well as to the latest OSHA regulations and standards.
- Delegate jobs to crew members as determined by their capabilities and the general requirements of specific work projects and site parameters.
- Providing suggestions to refine workflow and boost efficiency
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years previous experience operating a variety of heavy equipment.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Excellent vision or the use of prescribed lenses.
- Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- A sound understanding of pertinent safety guidelines, plans, specifications.
- Capacity to provide and follow direction.
- Sharp decision-making skills, particularly when under pressure.
- Ability to work extended hours, as required.
- Manual Labor as needed
