Duties

  • Developing and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities to stimulate cognitive, social, and emotional development.
  • Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where toddlers can explore, learn, and play.
  • Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with toddlers, parents, and colleagues.
  • Observing and assessing children's progress and developmental milestones, and communicating with parents/guardians about their child's growth.
  • Promoting language development, fine and gross motor skills, and independence through engaging activities and experiences.
  • Managing classroom behavior and implementing positive discipline techniques when necessary.
  • Collaborating with other staff members to plan and coordinate special events, field trips, and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the classroom and materials.
  • Adhering to licensing regulations, center policies, and health and safety protocols at all times.
  • Continuously seeking professional development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills in early childhood education.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/ GED
  • Fingerprint clearance card
  • CPR and First aid training
  • Minimum 6 Months- 1 Year of experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for effectively interacting with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Patience, creativity, flexibility, and the ability to manage multiple tasks are also important qualities for success in this role
