This premier Metro Atlanta-based organization is seeking an experienced Hardware Repair Technician for a long-term contract. The role involves providing on-site end-user computing support, including investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, network, and instructional technology incidents.

Required: DELL or Lenovo Laptop experience.

Responsibilities

• Hardware and laptop repairs and troubleshooting.
• Manage service requests through the ticketing system, meeting SLA requirements for response and resolution times.
• Communicate status updates regarding IT incidents and initiatives to the service desk, technical support coordinators, and schools via incident tracking software.
• Set up new devices, workstations, print stations, and assign default printers.
• Maintain data inventory and perform record-keeping functions for hardware assets, including start-up and end-of-year processes.

Required Skills

• At least 3 years of technical support experience, including hardware support in an enterprise environment.
• Preferred certifications: A+ or Microsoft Certification (MCP, MCSE, or desktop support certifications).
• Experience with hardware including desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, printers, projectors, smart boards, scanners, and digital cameras.
• Experience using SCCM for software deployment and collection management.
• Familiarity with IT support tools such as Active Directory, Remedy, or LANdesk.
