Electrical Engineer - Power & Digital Hardware | Canonsburg, PA

Contract Position | Pay Estimated: $40.16-$45.16/Hour

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors, (geographical location, etc.). Ability to Obtain and Maintain Secret Clearance.

This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze AC-DC and DC-DC power systems including buck, boost, and LDO regulators.
• Integrate, test, troubleshoot, and verify electrical hardware systems in mission-critical environments.
• Design and develop analog circuitry, such as amplifiers, filters, power supplies, and signal conditioning circuits.
• Develop and implement VHDL code for hardware description and digital system design.
• Design and debug high-speed digital circuits and systems, including multilayer PCB layouts.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law.
• Ability to Obtain and Maintain Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience (or a Master’s degree with no additional experience required).
• Proficiency in DC/DC and AC/DC power system design.
• Experience in analog circuit design and signal conditioning.
• Knowledge of VHDL and experience with hardware description for digital logic.
• Skilled in high-speed digital design and multilayer PCB development.
• Familiarity with communication protocols: CAN, SPI, I2C, Ethernet.
• Experience designing safety-critical circuits is a plus.
• Industry experience in defense, automotive, or medical devices preferred.
