HR & Paycom Assistant. Location: Springfield area. Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch). Pay Rate: $23–$25/hour (commensurate with experience).

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the implementation and configuration of Paycom.
  • Run and validate reports from ADP and Paycom to ensure data accuracy.
  • Perform data entry and audits to maintain accurate HR records.
  • Document HR processes, develop checklists, and organize project materials.
  • Assist in testing system functionality including workflows and employee self-service tools.
  • Support training initiatives by preparing materials and organizing sessions.
  • Coordinate with other departments to collect and compile information.
  • Provide general administrative support (scheduling, note-taking, filing, etc.) related to the HR project.
  • Offer ad hoc assistance to HR operations during the Paycom transition.

Qualifications

  • Payroll experience is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience in a Human Resources environment is required.
  • Familiarity with HR systems such as Paycom, ADP, or similar HRIS platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel & reporting ability (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data validation, etc.).
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in handling sensitive data.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Ability to create user-friendly documentation and training resources.
  • Professional discretion in managing confidential information.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, project-oriented environment.
