Job description

Human Resources Business Partner

The HR Business Partner will act as a strategic advisor to department heads and senior leadership, leading HR initiatives across corporate and retail operations. Responsibilities include employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, organizational design, change management, and employee engagement.

This is an office-based role in Miami, FL, overseeing corporate and retail stores.

Profile

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Align HR strategy with business goals by partnering with senior leadership
• Lead and develop the HR team, providing coaching on performance management, employee development, and restructuring
• Manage complex employee relations cases, conducting investigations and guiding resolutions
• Design and implement talent acquisition strategies, including vendor management and onboarding
• Develop performance management programs and ensure their effective execution
• Enhance employee engagement through recognition, training, and communication initiatives
• Develop HR metrics and analytics to inform strategy and measure impact
• Research and implement recruitment and compensation policies tailored to the business environment
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements and partner with legal as needed
• Advise on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management during restructuring
• Oversee administration of leaves, workers' compensation, and unemployment filings
• Coordinate expatriate assignments and HR matters with HQ
• Identify and develop training opportunities for management and build HR training programs
• Collaborate with department heads on policy, procedure, and benefit program rollouts
• Perform other duties as assigned

Professional requirements

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of HR experience with demonstrated career growth
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or Psychology
• HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred
• Extensive retail HR experience, with knowledge of California employment laws
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, HRIS platforms, and HR metrics analysis
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; high integrity and confidentiality
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments and solve complex problems
• Proven change leadership, problem-solving, and operational improvement skills
• Strategic thinker with business acumen and influencing skills
• Skilled mediator and advisor in HR and employee relations
• Ability to leverage data insights for HR transformation and best practices
• Champion of employee experience and engagement, fostering a high-performance, inclusive culture

Availability to travel up to 25% of the time.
