Merchandiser/Cashier – O'Reilly Auto Parts

Greet customers on the sales floor, assist them in locating merchandise or direct them to a parts specialist. Check out customers and deter shoplifters. Keep the front area stocked and fronted, stock merchandise according to planograms or displays, and complete sales preparation.

Essential Job Functions

• Greet customers on the sales floor, assist them in locating merchandise or direct them to a parts specialist if hard parts are needed.
• Check in, price, and stock merchandise.
• Keep merchandise on the display floor fronted, full, and clean daily.
• Make display changes according to company guidelines and planograms.
• Update out-front price changes and ensure sale signs are in place; stock sale merchandise and flyer racks.
• Remove sale materials when the sale ends and restore original pricing.
• Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.
• Work with the manager to complete store To Do List and Team Weekly tasks.
• Act as main shoplifting deterrent/front floor security.
• Assist with O’Reilly Image Maker responsibilities.
• Clock in/out according to company policy.
• Cashier: Check out customers purchasing front floor merchandise in a quick and friendly manner.
• Handle merchandise returns from customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Assist customers by finishing tickets and handling payments when the express lane is not in use and the counter is busy.

Skills / Education / Knowledge / Experience / Abilities

• Required: Good aptitude for dealing with number sequences, good interpersonal communication skills, good organizational skills.

Desired

• Previous cashier and/or stocking experience.
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicle.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
