The Janitor position is responsible for performing all-purpose cleaning and preservation of assigned areas inside a building or multiple client sites. Tasks may vary depending on client specifications, so flexibility is required.

Pay rate: $16.50 per hour

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Empty and clean waste containers, remove waste from premises, damp wipe containers.
• Empty and clean ash trays, monitor sand urns, and replenish sand as needed.
• Dust all wall hangings, charts, and graphics.
• Damp dust ceiling diffusers, partition grilles, and air vents.
• Vacuum mats and carpeted areas in lobbies and corridors.
• Clean office furnishings, fixtures, window sills, and flat surfaces.
• Clean and buff metal hardware fixtures and bright work.
• Clean and maintain tile floors.
• Clean glass furnishings and entry doors.
• Remove stains from vertical surfaces like doors and dividers.
• Wash, clean, and sterilize water coolers.
• Sweep stairways and vacuum carpets.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, restocking supplies as needed.

Qualifications:

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Minimum 6 months of janitorial experience.
