Overview

Janitor - Temporary at Allied Universal Janitorial Services. The role involves performing all-purpose cleaning and preservation of assigned areas inside a building or multiple client sites. Tasks may vary per client specifications and require flexibility.

Wage and Perks: Wage is $20.55 per hour. Weekly pay. Paid on-the-job training. SEIU, Local 1 benefit information referenced in job materials.

Responsibilities

• Empty and clean all waste containers and remove waste paper and garbage from premises; damp wipe containers.
• Empty and clean ash trays, monitor and replenish sand as required.
• Dust all image frames, charts, graphs, and wall hangings.
• Damp dust ceilings, air diffusers, partition grilles, registers and other ventilating louvers.
• Vacuum all mats and carpeted areas in workplaces, lobbies, and corridors.
• Hand dust and clean office furnishings, files, fixtures, paneling, window sills, and other flat surfaces.
• Wipe and buff metal hardware fixtures and bright work.
• Clean tile floor surfaces as required and maintain cleanliness.
• Damp wipe and buff all glass furnishings; clean entry door glass (indoor and exterior).
• Remove stains from vertical surfaces such as doors, frames, light switches, private entry glass, and dividers.
• Wash, clean, and sterilize water coolers.
• Sweep stairs and vacuum carpeted areas as needed.
• Clean building floors by sweeping and mopping; sanitize bathrooms and restock supplies.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow written and oral directions.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in a janitorial-type position.
