As a Security Professional - - Flex - Utility Site in Hedgesville, WV , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more .
As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, youll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availabilitygiving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting a secure environment at a major utilities location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and helping to deter security-related incidents through visible presence and attentive service. You will interact with visitors and staff, providing exceptional customer service while upholding site protocols. This role requires you to utilize technology such as computers or tablets to manage access logs and respond to alarms as needed. Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, contractors and visitors.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
Maintain detailed records of access control activities, incidents and observations as required by site procedures.
Communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and local authorities in the event of emergencies or unusual occurrences.
Support site-specific policies and procedures related to access control within a utilities environment.
Availability across various days and shifts
Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
