Job Title: Electronics Repair Technician – Urgently Hiring! | Location: West Eugene, Eugene, Oregon

Pay : $16.50 / hr

Hours : Monday - Friday 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Must be available to work some Saturdays, IF / WHEN mandated by client)

Start Date : ASAP

This is a temporary-to-hire position with a local manufacturing firm that makes scanning equipment for grocery stores on an international scale.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose simple electronic and mechanical failures (most are predictable) using established procedures and techniques
• Perform very basic repair of circuit boards at a component level (if / when required)
• Complete documentation using the company’s ERP system
• Unbox, receive freight, and process units into Return Material Authorization (RMA) in the system
• Match paperwork with the unit and place in the correct bin; manage items on product carts and scanners in order of required end date for repair completion
• Communicate issues via email to the RMA group and maintain various spreadsheets (Tech-Eval, Problem Shelf, RFBs received, etc.)
• Assist with other tasks as needed and cross-train in other process areas (QRP fulfillment, Closing, Tech-Evals, Service repair Daily Audit, Problem Shelf, and related tasks)
• Maintain reliable attendance and professionalism in interactions with internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs repeatedly
• On feet for the duration of the shift
• Good interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team, attention to detail, flexibility, creativity, proactivity, willingness to learn, and the ability to work in a dynamic, complex environment
• Problem-solving mindset and accountability
