Job Description
- Lead and manage the electrical engineering design works.
- Prepare and review the design of the electrical works, e.g., equipment sizing, cable sizing, voltage drop calculation, power system study, electrical layout single line diagram, schematic drawings, etc.
- Handle equipment packages and procurement, including technical specifications, technical clarification, technical bid analysis, etc.
- Develop cost estimates for electrical equipment and electrical works.
- Develop work schedules and coordinate project activities.
- Review the designs and submissions of sub-consultants, sub-contractors, and vendors, ensuring all project specifications and design standards are met.
- Prepare checklists for installation, testing, and commissioning works.
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including internal teams of different trades, clients, consultants, other packages, sub-contractors, and vendors.
- Address client comments and ensure client approval and acceptance of all electrical design, installation, testing, and commissioning works.
- Handle and resolve all technical matters on-site.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in the construction industry. Experience in water or wastewater industry is an advantage.
- Experience in design, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, e.g., high voltage systems, low voltage systems, transformers, motor starters, cabling works, earthing, and lightning protection systems.
- Experience in project execution, coordination, supervision, and liaising with clients, consultants, and sub-tier contractors.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems.
- Proficiency in power system analysis software (e.g., ETAP) and BIM software (e.g., Bentley, Revit, Navisworks).
- Team player with good interpersonal skills.
- Meticulous, analytical, and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Able to work under tight deadlines.
- Highly motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Willing to work full-time at the project site.
