Position Title: Accounting Manager

Wage: $80,000 - $92,000/year

We are partnering with a Rockford, IL area company to staff for a results-driven Accounting Manager to lead its accounting operations. This is a full-time, direct hire, fully onsite position.

Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of financial statements
• Prepare, review, and present consolidated financial results for management
• Ensure adherence to US GAAP/IFRS, tax regulations, and internal controls
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring prompt and accurate responses to all audit-related queries
• Oversee key accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, general ledger, and fixed asset management
• Collaborate with IT and operations teams to optimize ERP system functionality and accounting workflows
• Maintain and enforce robust internal controls across all accounting processes
• Partner with Finance leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives in accounting policies, procedures, and systems
• Mentor and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering professional growth and accountability
• Collaborate with teams across supply chain and operations to ensure financial alignment with business goals
• Serve as a key liaison with subsidiaries, ensuring consistency in accounting practices and reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA a plus
• 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a leadership or managerial role
• Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
• Expertise in ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Excel
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams
