Overview

High growth mission based publicly traded company in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking an Accounting Manager to support the financial reporting function. Report directly to a great CAO and work closely with others on the executive team. The person in this role will prepare SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, etc.) for quarterly and annual external reporting, ensure US GAAP compliance, and prepare/review XBRL tagging. Will also assist with financial statement preparation and analysis as well as provide technical accounting guidance and prepare memos as needed.

Base pay range

$130,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Prepare SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, etc.) for quarterly and annual external reporting.
• Prepare/review XBRL tagging and ensure US GAAP compliance.
• Assist with financial statement preparation and analysis.
• Provide technical accounting guidance and prepare memos as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
• Master’s Degree in Accounting preferred
• CPA or CPA Candidate preferred
• Hands-on experience auditing/reviewing SEC filings in public accounting or preparing SEC filings
• 4-8 years’ experience from public accounting or doing SEC reporting within publicly traded companies
• The ideal person is seeking a fast-paced environment where the entire team is very hands-on
• Must have strong systems skills
