Klassic Recruiting is partnering with our client Reflexion Health to source an Accounting Manager to join their offices based in Central San Diego. This role will work closely with the CFO and take ownership of financial reporting, month-end close, and internal processes. Job Description

Requirements for the role of Accounting Manager:

• Drive the month-end close process by managing to the closing calendar and deliverables.
• Own all aspects of the financial accounts and statements.
• Establish and maintain formal accounting policies, procedures, and practices to ensure compliance with GAAP and proper controls.
• Contribute to technical accounting activities, including timely identification and compliance with evolving accounting guidance, research, resolution, and documentation.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and other relevant accounting tasks.
• Handle all accounts payable and receivable activities.
• Manage and process semi-monthly payroll.
• Assist with the preparation of business information and income tax returns.

Qualifications

Responsibilities for the role of Accounting Manager:

• 3-5 years of progressive experience in an Accounting Manager role or as a Senior Accountant ready to advance.
• Strong technical expertise and knowledge of GAAP.
• Experience in revenue recognition.
• Self-starter who enjoys working in a smaller/start-up environment.
• Prior experience working in a start-up environment.
• Experience with ERP implementation (ideally).
• Public accounting experience in audit.
• CPA accreditation (ideally).
