Job Description

Our client is seeking a talented accountant to oversee the month-end close process and manage daily operational accounting areas. This role also includes refining budgeting processes, preparing financial statements, and supporting communications with external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the month-end accounting close process.
• Oversee daily accounting operations (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll).
• Supervise and coach a staff accountant.
• Improve budgeting and forecasting processes using data.
• Prepare annual financial statements in line with US GAAP.
• Review and maintain accounting schedules including reconciliation and allocation.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA license required.
• 4+ years of experience, including at a public accounting firm and/or biotech firm.
• Public accounting experience at a Big 4 firm is highly preferred.
• Experience with NetSuite is preferred.
• Precise and thoughtful communication skills.
