Overview
A dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager is sought in the Home Builder/Construction industry. This is a permanent role offering an opportunity to utilize and develop accounting skills in a fast-paced environment. The Accounting Manager will oversee all accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis, and will manage multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines.
Base pay range: $110,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr

Responsibilities
- Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including designing an organizational structure to achieve the department's goals and objectives.
- Direct and coordinate all accounting operational functions including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Coordinate and prepare internal and external financial statements.
- Coordinate activities of external auditors.
- Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for accurate accounting of business results.
- Assist in developing and implementing new procedures and features to enhance department workflow.
- Review financial statements and ledgers, and work with other staff to make necessary adjustments for accuracy.
- Manage the budget process, collect inputs, and compare actual performance with estimates and forecasts.
- Collaborate with other finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives.
- Advise management on actions regarding purchase, lease, or disposal of assets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the mortgage industry.
- Strong understanding of GAAP.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel) and accounting software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership abilities to oversee the accounting department.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
