Recruiting Manager, Accounting and Finance

Segrera Associates has partnered with a high-growth, private equity-backed company in Tampa, FL. As part of our dynamic and expanding team, they are looking for a detail-oriented and highly motivated Staff Accountant to join our Finance and Accounting team.

Position Summary:

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger management, month-end close, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and wants to play a critical part in supporting financial success as they scale.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare journal entries and post them to the appropriate accounts.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial reports and statements.
• Analyze balance sheet accounts and assist with account reconciliations.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper coding of expenses and revenue.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in financial reporting and analysis.
• Support ad-hoc reporting and special projects as needed by management.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1+ years of accounting experience (preferably in a high-growth or private equity-backed environment).
• Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with accounting software; Netsuite preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
• Team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
