Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all financial functions.
• Manage multi-state tax and sales tax compliance for ~20 states, including filings, audits, and reconciliations.
• Direct the fixed assets process, determining appropriate capitalization versus expense treatment in line with GAAP.
• Lead month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
• Leverage NetSuite ERP to streamline workflows, strengthen controls, and improve reporting capabilities.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership and operational teams, providing financial insight to support strategic decision-making.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Partner with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all applicable laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA or advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities.
• Proven expertise in multi-state tax and sales tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong background in fixed assets accounting with the ability to apply proper capitalization policies.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP (required).
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with the confidence to present financial insights and admit mistakes with professionalism.
• High level of integrity, analytical thinking, and problem-solving ability.
