Job Title: Accounting Manager
Compensation: $100,000–$125,000 annually (Exempt)

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations and ensure timely financial reporting. This individual will supervise a small team and play a key role in maintaining accurate records, supporting audits, managing tax-related activities, and collaborating with a foreign-owned parent company. Experience in an international corporate environment and ERP system familiarity (preferably JD Edwards or SAP) is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations
- Manage two direct reports covering Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- Maintain monthly account analysis and perform reconciliation of sub-ledgers (A/R, A/P, Fixed Assets) with the general ledger
- Ensure accurate inventory valuation, including third-party logistics (3PL) and consignment warehouses
- Manage multiple bank accounts and banking relationships
- Coordinate with third-party payroll provider and ensure proper payroll entry and classification
- File Sales & Use Tax in applicable states (e.g., IL, CA)
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial results; explain variances vs. budget/forecast
- Meet all internal monthly and quarterly reporting deadlines
- Perform quarterly intercompany reconciliations and upload financials to consolidation system
Corporate Income Tax
- Work with external tax firms to adjust deferred tax assets and liabilities quarterly
- Review corporate tax returns for accuracy
- Ensure timely and correct filing of federal and state tax obligations
Audit Support
- Coordinate all internal and external audit activities
- Support compliance with US GAAP and internal audit standards from the foreign parent company
General Responsibilities
- Assist with annual budget preparation and monthly forecasting
- Review contracts, import duties/tariffs, insurance policies, and employee benefits
- Provide ad hoc reports as requested by leadership or the parent company
- Support expatriate housing/utilities and online timecard system oversight
- Handle additional duties as needed to support organizational success
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s in Business a plus
- 8+ years of accounting experience including monthly closings under US GAAP
- CPA certification preferred
- Familiarity with IFRS (due to parent company requirements)
- Experience reviewing and filing corporate income tax
- ERP proficiency (JD Edwards and/or SAP preferred)
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Access
