Base pay range

$105,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr

ABOC is hiring for a Accounting Manager. This position is responsible for the supervision, tracking and evaluation of day-to-day activities. Responsibilities include establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, verifying, and reporting information.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervises or prepares the compiling and posting of transactions to the general ledger, the accounts payable function, fixed asset, prepared expenses and investment security systems.
  • Insures that an in-balance condition exists for all responsible general ledger accounts.
  • Prepares the monthly and quarter financial records of the institution.
  • Assists in the preparation of the annual corporate tax return.
  • Prepare the quarterly Call report and the weekly Federal Reserve Bank Report.
  • Implements programs and procedures designed by the Chief Financial Officer as they apply to the Department.
  • Ensures the accuracy of the preparation of the Weekly Collaterized and Public Funds Deposit Report.
  • Is the custodian of all files or insurance policies carried by the institution.
  • Ensures that all accounting policies and procedures are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Prepares the annual abandoned property report.
  • Verifies the completeness of all paid official checks, the proper account classification and ensures the adequacy of the supporting documentation.
  • Verifies the accuracy of the preparation of the daily Due from Bank reconciliations.
  • Prepares various complicated account or financial performance analysis.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual financial budget
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent field.
  • Certified public accountant (CPA) status or candidacy (preferred)
  • 7-10 years general accounting experience with at least 5 years in a banking environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
