Responsibilities

  • Position Summary: With minimum supervision, responsible for any combination of calculating, posting and verifying of accounting data of a complex nature exercising independent judgement in one or more of the following functions: Accounts Payable, Payroll/Labor, Accounts Receivable and Billing.
  • Process accounts payable transactions, research discrepancies, communicate with suppliers on issues and payment status.
  • Process weekly payroll, reconcile timecard hours with various reports and process pay adjustments and deductions.
  • Process monthly journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
  • Assist with accounts receivable collections and sales adjustments.
  • Investigate questionable data and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Interface with functional departments, management, vendors and customers.
  • Perform other related responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Three years Accounting/Payroll experience or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities.
  • Two years college accounting or equivalent professional coursework preferred.
  • Prior computer experience (Microsoft Office products) and data entry required.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
  • Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with others and be a participative team player.
