Overview Of The Accounting Manager Role

The Accounting Manager will report directly to the Controller and oversee day-to-day accounting operations for a multi-site manufacturing business. This includes managing general ledger activities, month-end close, inventory accounting, and plant-level financial reporting. The Accounting Manager will lead a small team and partner with operations, supply chain, and finance to ensure accurate reporting and support ongoing process improvements.

Preferred Qualifications For The Accounting Manager

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 1–3 years in a leadership or supervisory role
• Experience with inventory accounting, standard costing, and plant-level reporting
• Proven experience managing month-end close, consolidations, and financial reporting processes
• Skilled in accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel functions
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills
