Accounting Manager – Nonprofit

Location: Greenwich, CT

A nonprofit organization in the youth services sector is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team. This role will support the CFO in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and audit preparation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger, AP, payroll, monthly close, and cost allocations
• Prepare internal and external financial reports
• Support annual budget and audit process
• Ensure grant and donor compliance in coordination with development team
• Identify process improvements and help implement system updates
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of nonprofit accounting experience
• Proficient in GAAP and fund accounting
• Strong Excel skills; Sage Intacct experience preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
