Overview

We are working with a well-known Law Firm that is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of relevant law firm experience along with 4+ years of supervisory experience.

Base pay range

$180,000.00/yr - $215,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Partner closely with the Chief Financial Officer to oversee and strengthen the firm\'s general accounting operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with legal industry standards.
• Manage day-to-day general accounting activities, including accounts payable, client receipts, and client trust account transactions. Ensure timely and accurate processing of all incoming and outgoing payments, while maintaining compliance with applicable trust accounting regulations.
• Collaborate with the Senior Staff Accountant to maintain accurate general ledger (GL) records and perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and balance sheet accounts.
• Review and prepare monthly journal entries; ensure accurate expense coding and recommend corrections or reclassifications as needed.
• Oversee all aspects of partner compensation accounting, including the calculation, scheduling, and disbursement of draws and distributions, as well as the management of year-end allocations and reporting. Ensure data accuracy and transparency in all partner-related financial matters.
• Generate and distribute regular financial and statistical reports for firm leadership, including daily cash position updates, monthly financial summaries, and custom reports as needed.
