Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Construction Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. This role is critical in supporting the financial operations of our construction projects by ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and financial records.

Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable and receivable related to construction projects.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain job cost records and assist with budget tracking.
  • Prepare and submit lien waivers and compliance documentation.
  • Assist with payroll processing and time tracking for field employees.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Collaborate with project managers and vendors to ensure financial accuracy.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or a similar industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Viewpoint).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
