Overview
Ingersoll Rand is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Accounting Manager - Cullum & Brown, located in Lees Summit, MO. The Accounting Manager will be a strategic business partner for Compression Systems and Services (CSS), providing financial reporting and analysis in business decision making, current operating performance, key metric development and analysis, financial forecasting, reporting, and ad hoc business support of strategic initiatives. This proactive business leader will bring strong finance, accounting, analysis, financial controls, planning, and business partnership skills to this organization supporting approximately $700M in annual revenue.
Responsibilities:
- Provide financial leadership by preparing and presenting financial analysis and variance explanations, including price, volume, and mix impacts
- Partner with sales teams and leadership to drive accurate sales and financial forecasts and projections
- Prepare standard monthly reporting, using Hyperion, Tableau and Alteryx. Develop new reporting and analytics to support business decision making using Tableau and Alteryx
- Lead the Annual Operating Plan and other major FCST cycle for location
- Provide financials used in sales compensation reporting ensuring accuracy
- Initiate process improvements and drive to successful implementation
- Maintain SOX compliance in all locations
- Ad hoc analysis and special projects as requested by Management
- Prepare State and Local Tax filing as needed
- Full understanding and ownership of month end results, and impact to P&L and Balance Sheet ensuring accurate and timely financial results
- Analyze data to evaluate trends, identify risks and opportunities, improve profitability, and drive business decisions across the organization
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business required
- 3+ years of financial analyst or cost accounting experience supporting full P&L
Preferences:
- Strong financial acumen, analytical, problem solving, data management and business partnership skills required
- Self-motivated team player with a strong ability to build relationships and instill confidence and trust with business partners
- Excellent analytical and business modeling skills
- Highly skilled in utilizing Excel for data mining, analysis and building decision models
- Must be energetic, forward thinking, and creative
- Must be detail-oriented and deadline sensitive
- Must be able to manage complex projects and to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
- Demonstrated leadership capability
- High ethical standards
- Experience with Oracle, Hyperion, Tableau, or Alteryx a plus
- Working knowledge of FICAP and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
- Seeking candidates eligible for employment in local country/region
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:
- Fully site based
- Travel Required approximately 5-10%
