This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing daily accounting functions, managing reporting cycles, and supporting strategic financial initiatives. Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations and supervise a small team
- Manage month-end and quarter-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Review financial results, analyze variances, and support internal reporting
- Assist with audits and compliance efforts, including preparing required documentation
- Partner with other departments to ensure accurate financial data and reporting alignment
- Support implementation and optimization of accounting systems and processes
- Mentor junior accounting staff and contribute to team development
- Take ownership of special projects and other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred
- 5+ years of accounting experience, must have previous experience in public accounting
- Solid understanding of GAAP and experience with financial statement preparation
- Comfortable working in a high-growth or multi-entity environment
- Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software (NetSuite is a plus)
- Background in service-based or operationally complex industries
- Exposure to internal audits, financial system upgrades, or process automation
- Experience working in organizations with $100M+ in annual revenue
- Strong ability to interpret and present financial information to non-finance stakeholders
